At the centre of the Val di Fiemme, at 1000 metres above sea level, Tesero offers, at its best, all the landscapes and historical and touristic richness of the Val di Fiemme. Traditions, crafts, cultural events and mountains are Tesero’s strengths.
In the historic center stands out: the parish church of St. Elisha, the chapel of St. Roch from the sixteenth century and the Gothic church of St. Leonard and St. Gotthard, Casa Jellici, a historic residence that now houses a museum, exhibitions and cultural events, capitals, sundials, frescoes and ovens “from the pan”.
Artistic craftsmanship has also shaped the identity of the country over time: furniture and the creation of musical instruments, including organs and soundboards for violins and pianos. During Christmas, Tesero is set up to celebrate: from the alleys, courtyards, windows, stables and cellars overlook one hundred artisan cribs. The event “Tesero and its Christmas Cribs” attracts thousands of visitors. In summer, the same village courtyards host the event “Le corte de Tiezer“, with spectacular re-enactments of ancient crafts, gastronomic traditions and music. On Tuesdays in July and August, the event “Tesero un paese da vivere” (Tesero a country to live in) is also held on long summer evenings.
Tesero is the ideal destination for sportsmen. In the town of Lago, there is the cross-country skiing centre, home to three editions of the Nordic Skiing World Championships. The village of Pampeago is the gateway to the ski carousel of the Làtemar Ski Center, with its 45 km of slopes. In summer, you can choose between riding stables, bike paths, climbing wall, Nordic walking, indoor bowling alley, tennis, minigolf and of course walks and excursions on Latemar, where the highest art park in the world RespirArt Pampeago was built.
